Work Ready Australia's Award Winning "WORK READY" Program

There is, without question, a skills shortage at the mobile plant operator level in the mining industry at present. Unfortunately, skilled/experienced operators are very hard to find due to the booming industry and that the expansions and new projects have created a rise in demand for skilled mobile plant operators.

Work Ready Australia has developed a unique "Work Ready" development program to assist in addressing the skills shortage in the mining industry.

There are 3 steps to a rewarding career in the mining industry as a mobile plant (Haul Truck) operator. They are as follows:

Applicants that apply for the Work Ready Australia "Work Ready" program complete a comprehensive recruitment and selection process. The selection is designed to ensure that applicants have the necessary attributes, skills and attitudes to not only complete the intensive Work Ready Australia development program but to also adapt to and overcome the challenges of mining life.

It is only if an when the applicant is successful at the selection stage are they then accepted into Work Ready Australia's exclusive development program.

The development program is designed to give the Work Ready candidate a foundation on which to build a successful mobile plant operator mining career. The Work Ready candidate will complete the program with a fundamental understanding of Safety, Health, Environment and Operation aspects realting to them as an employee in a mining lifestyle. The program consists of both classroom theory and outdoor practical experience.

The Work Ready candidates that complete the development program are then placed into Work Ready Australia's recruitment division for marketing to the mining industry.

Information sessions explain every aspect of our program including the selection process, course content, costs, course duration and potential employment. We will also ensure that any questions you may have relating to the mining industry and our program are answered. Work Ready Australia conducts these information sessions to assist you in making an informed decision as to whether or not operating mobile plant in the mining industry is for you.

This is due to the requirement of attending several appointments and meetings with respect to the "Work Ready" program selection process and developement program being held in Perth, Western Australia. Work Ready Australia welcomes applicants who are willing to either relocate to Perth Western Australia and who are willing to travel to and from required appointments
